BIO

Welcome to SkipEldersArt.com and modern247.com. Skip Elders is an abstract artist whose influences are rooted in mid-century and modern art, architecture, and design. The first time he turned the page of his Fundamentals of Art textbook in college and saw Picasso's Guernica, his view of art and what was possible changed dramatically. Many years later, he had the opportunity to stand in front of the actual work in Spain, an experience he describes as awe-inspiring.

Skip's goal is to inject a sense of playfulness and curiosity into his work through shapes, techniques, and color.

And while he hates to flex, Skip is an award-winning artist. As a first grader, a "work" he created in Crayola crayon on construction paper won a blue ribbon in the K–12 art show.

We hope you enjoy the work!
