Welcome to modern247.com. My name is Skip Elders and I’m an abstract artist. My influences are based in mid-century and modern art, architecture and design. The first time I turned the page of my Fundamentals of Art textbook in college and saw Picasso’s Guernica, my view of art and what was possible changed dramatically. It was many years later, but I eventually had the opportunity to stand in front of the actual work in Spain and it was awe inspiring.

My goal is to inject a sense of playfulness and curiosity in my work through the use of shapes, techniques and colors.
